For the first time I got to watch American Football on the spot.

For the first time I got to see so many Americans at the same time.

For the first time I got to know that our students and so many other people love this name: OU

For the first time in the States, I tried to shout and scream, and keep standing for 4 hours and stressed out and sunburnt.  For the first time I got to understand that sport is REALLY a part of American people's life.

 

That all came from the football game OU vs Washinton, it was our home field, and of course, we won.

 

The game started at 2:30, but we had to go there at 12:30 because seats for students tickets were distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Americans are crazy, no matter what age he is, he would come to the game, even if it takes 6 or 7 hours drive. And people all wear in Cream or Crimson, which were the official color of OU. There were more than 85,000 people came to the game. But the total population of Norman City is only 70,000.

Finally the game started, It was not like some normal openning, the openning ceremony was so touching, people running and screaming the name of OU in the field, and there were also well trained students bands and  performances. When all the people stand, put their right hand on their hearts and sing the OU university song, renew the history of OU,  I got to understand what is American way of team spirit.And it really did work out. When I was actually in that moment, and I was so proud of being a part of OU student, I almost weeped. I could say, the opening was no worse than some national games' openings.
